Formed in 2019, Athensys is a Cardiff-based tech company which has a simple mission – to improve the collaborative delivery of major projects. With extensive experience and pioneering software, Athensys enables commercial teams in large organisations and government departments to better comply with their contractual obligations and extract more value from working on substantial, complex projects.
Athensys joined the Cardiff Capital Region Graduate Scheme when there was a requirement to add a new member to its web developer team.
Heather Butterworth, Financial Director:
“For many startup SME companies like Athensys, recruitment can often be time-consuming to find talented applicants who are the right fit for the team”.
“The Cardiff Capital Region Graduate Development team were helpful and professional, clearly outlining each step of the process to us. They also managed the logistical details of the interviews and assessments, as well as encouraging us to provide any input which would help them with shortlisting.”
In March 2020 Cass Winfrey joined the Athensys team as a web developer. Since starting with the company, she has already been actively working on the code base and is making important, meaningful contributions to major projects.
Cass Winfrey, Web Developer:
“The CCR Graduate Scheme helped me gain employment in software development. Throughout the entire process I was supported and the people from the graduate scheme were very approachable. I’m now working in a team of friendly faces that help support my ongoing development as a full-stack developer as well as gaining an additional qualification through ILM”.
Heather Butterworth, Financial Director:
“We would recommend the CCR Graduate Scheme to any businesses who need a helping hand with recruitment and give an opportunity to a local graduate who otherwise we may have never found ourselves”.
