A Graduate Trainee Finance Executive who puts people before profits

Imagine being a valued member of the team, working with an independent mortgage broker who genuinely puts people before profits.

Imagine training to be a trusted advisor - a professional able to offer the complete range of short term and long-term solutions, building a lifetime relationship with your customers.

Imagine being one of the best-trained and most highly qualified mortgage advisors in your field - a respected specialist with in-depth knowledge of the whole market.

Welcome to your role as a Graduate Trainee Finance Executive with Ngage Finance and Accounting, the Cardiff-based national brokerage that puts people first, taking the stress out of lending - and offering you a career you can be proud of.

Become a trusted expert enjoying an outstanding career

Join us as a Graduate Trainee Finance Executive and you’ll be given all the training, development, support - and opportunity - to enjoy an outstanding long-term career in financial services, as a fully CeMAP qualified professional with one of the UK’s leading finance brokerages.

Your role will initially consist of working for Ngage in the front line as the first point of contact for our customers and introducers - a vitally important role where you’ll be highly trained to build trust and manage our customer’s first impressions. Specifically, that will involve making and receiving calls to customers and introducers, accurately recording their details as part of their mortgage application and arranging an appointment with one of our specialist Mortgage Advisors.

It’s fair to say that no two days are the same, and the experience gained will be invaluable once you become a Mortgage Advisor.

Develop industry-leading skills with the market leader

Your first 12 months with us will give you the firmest foundation possible for your career - working variable shifts on a 35-hour week as a Trainee Mortgage Advisor, while studying for your CF1 and CF6 CeMAP Mortgage Advisor qualifications. That fully financed support will include the provision of all study materials and a two-week intensive study course ahead of the exam, as part of your development - and once qualified, you can move to hybrid working between office and home.

And then? Your career with us will progress strongly, with rewards to match …

The rewards you deserve for the service you deliver

Your rewards grow as you grow, starting with a £20k basic salary plus commission for your first six months, rising to a £22k salary plus commission (with an expected OTE of £35k) after six months - and after 12 months, when you’re fully CeMAP qualified, you’ll have earned promotion to a home/office-based Mortgage Advisor with a basic salary of £25k (reviewed annually) and an OTE of £85k+.

Beyond a permanent full-time role with fantastic earning potential, you’ll also enjoy an excellent benefits package that includes:

  • Extensive induction and training coupled with an outstanding development program.
  • 28 days’ paid holiday, increasing to 33 days once you become an Advisor
  • Contributory workplace pension.
  • Generous staff referral bonus scheme.
  • Free Bupa Health care screening.
  • 24/7/365 Well-being support service available to you and your spouse/dependents.
  • You automatically get your birthday off each year (once probation is completed).
  • Unrivalled opportunities for progression, promotion and personal development in an expanding and market leading business.

What do you need to succeed?

First and foremost, you’re a graduate with a strong desire to work in the financial services industry, particularly within mortgages and protection. If you have some work experience in customer service or telesales, so much the better - but you’ll certainly have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, as well as outstanding communication and listening skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and simple format.

It’s also important to have an organised, disciplined and structured approach to work, with confidence and competence using IT and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).

Due to the Business needs of Ngage Finance and Accounting, only applicants from the Cardiff Capital Region can be considered (10 Local Authorities in Southeast Wales)
