About the role

Our specialist team is growing, and this is an exciting time to be joining, as we design & develop advanced and new technologies for our customers. We are looking for a Graduate Software Developer / Application Developer who possesses a passion for pushing innovative and novel technologies to the limits. You will work within our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation applications and plugins for autonomous systems, tactical communication interfaces and research projects.

You will benefit from a structured training plan delivered internally, whilst also being supported by Venture’s Career Accelerator Programme delivered in partnership with the University of South Wales

and Open University - giving you the essential ‘future-ready’ skills to succeed. Once fully trained within your role, your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and building applications for integration into the company DevOps pipeline.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, test and deliver new features and plugins for existing applications.
• Working with 3rd party SDKs and APIs.
• Unit-test coding for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Discovering and implementing new technologies.

About you (criteria)

• You will be a recent or soon to be Technology Graduate, Software Engineering Graduate, Computer Science Graduate or have a degree in a related subject.
• You will have software development / programming experience, and ideally be experienced in one of the following: C++, Java, or Python.
• Due to security reasons and the regulations within the industry that we operate in, we can only accept applications from candidates that have lived in the UK for at least 5 years.

• Darganfod a gweithredu technolegau newydd.
