Investing in Young Innovators
A co-funding partnership with Innovate UK
CCR has partnered with Innovate UK to co-fund the Young Innovator Awards – a competition designed to give young inventors and entrepreneurs of all backgrounds the opportunity to realise their hopes, dreams and ambitions.
About the Young Innovators Programme
With research showing that half of young people in the UK think their age is a barrier to business success – and nearly a third lacking the confidence they need to turn their idea into a reality there is a compelling need to nurture and support our young innovators.
The Young Innovators’ Programme and Awards was established in 2017 by Innovate UK and The Princes Trust. It celebrates the entrepreneurial enthusiasm and immense potential of our youth – nurturing the next generation of experts and influencers, supporting the fresh perspectives needed to challenge accepted norms and inspire positive transformation.
The Awards give fine minds aged 18-30 from diverse communities the opportunity to win a prestigious prize that brings a £5k cash investment, a living allowance for two days per week, plus an invaluable 1-year package of business support tailored to specific needs (such as media and communications, pitch training, business planning and guidance on networking).
The Competition
The aim of this competition is to find a new group of young innovators that, with our help, can turn their great ideas into successful businesses.
